Course Objectives:

  • Differentiate the difference between Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
  • List nutritional strategies including diet and dietary supplements in the management and treatment of Irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Describe the symptoms of small bowel bacterial overgrowth.
  • Identify the difference between Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis.
  • Review guidelines for the dietary management of Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis.
